Edward Luce completed a general surgery residency at Barnes Hospital (Washington U.)
and plastic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins. He has served as chief and plastic surgery
residency director at the U. of Kentucky and Case-Western U. His most recent
appointment was as a professor of plastic surgery at U. Tennessee- Memphis.

Dr. Luce has served in a number of plastic surgery organizational roles including chair of
the American Board of Plastic Surgery the certifying body for plastic surgeons and
president of the following societies, American Society of Plastic Surgery, American
Association of Plastic Surgery, American Council of Academic Plastic Surgeons,
American Society of Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as the Southeastern Society of Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a past member of the Residency Review
Committee and the plastic surgery Advisory Counsel to the American College of
Surgeons as well as a governor of the same body.
