Courtney Mejia received her BS degree in nursing at the Winston Salem State University and spent 8 years in critical care nursing before receiving her doctoral degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina. She joined the plastic surgery team in 2018. She delights in assisting in the care of plastic surgery patients in the office, operating room and hospital. She is instrumental in many of the research projects undertaken by the plastic surgery division.
