Dr. Elliott Chen joined the faculty of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2008. Prior to his appointment with the Department of Surgery, he was employed as a general plastic surgeon with Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and as an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery with University Hospitals Case Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio. 

 

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Chen earned a doctor of medicine from Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served a general surgery residency at Stony Brook University School of Medicine, Stony Brook, New York, and a plastic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tennessee. A craniofacial fellowship was completed at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
