Jarom N. Gilstrap, M.D.

Special Interests: Breast Reconstruction, Microsurgery, Extremity Reconstruction, Head and Neck Reconstruction, Oncologic Reconstruction and Trauma Reconstruction

Jarom Gilstrap is the eldest son in a family of five.  He is the proud father of four children and enjoys going hiking and camping with his wife and kids.

  

Jarom completed his undergraduate education at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah.  He earned a doctor of medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin with recognition from the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as well as numerous awards, including the Michael J. Dunn, M.D., Class of 1962 Achievement Award, the Lowell A. Sether Memorial Award in Anatomy, The Department of Surgery Achievement Award and honors from the The American Society of Clinical Pathologists. 

Dr. Gilstrap went on to complete a combined residency in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at Lehigh Valley, Allentown, Pennsylvania.  He continued to show a passion for medicine and was honored with Lehigh County Medical Society Humaneness in Medicine Award in 2015.

 

Dr. Gilstrap completed his training in microsurgery as a clinical instructor at Stanford University Hospital, Palo Alto, California.  While there he performed hundreds of complex cases involving microsurgical reconstruction.
